The Territory of Christmas Island is an Australian external territory comprising the island of the same name. Christmas Island is located in the Indian Ocean, around 350 kilometres (220 mi) south of Java and Sumatra and around 1,550 kilometres (960 mi) north-west of the closest point on the Australian mainland
To be considered you must have:
- Current MC Licence.
- At least 3-4 years proven experience in Kenworth 18 speed road rangers and Volvo FMX D13 64 Prime Movers – automatic, double side tipper experience.
- Dozer, Loader, Excavator, Moxy and Grader tickets highly regarded.
- Must have a good positive attitude towards Safety and site Procedures
Positions are Fly In and Out from Perth. Will go for approximately 9 months dependent on the wet season. Roster will be 6 weeks on with 2 weeks off where you can be flown back to Perth.
Whilst on the Island you will be working 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday) Dayshift starting at 6am. Hours of work are:
- Monday to Thursday: 11 hours
- Friday: 6 hours
- Saturday 10 hours
- Sunday off.
- (60 hours per week)
On your days off there is fishing, snorkelling, golf and plenty to see on the Island. There will be 2 x shared vehicles for Days off and out of work hrs.
Accommodation supplied. Single Motel Style Ensuite with shared cooking & Laundry facilities provided, WIFI, LAFHA is paid as you need to buy your own food and do your own cooking.
Must be able to pass an extensive medical and drug screen and have a current National Police Clearance.
