Mills Recruitment is working with a well-established EPC/EPCM provider to appoint a Lead or Senior Process Engineer with strong gold project experience. The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership across all phases of gold and base metals projects – from early concept studies through to detailed design and commissioning. This role suits a self-sufficient, solutions-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team and is confident engaging with clients to shape practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise process flowsheets for greenfield and brownfield gold projects
  • Complete trade-off studies, mass balances, simulations, and equipment datasheets
  • Prepare cost estimates and support procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and mentor junior team members
  • Work closely with clients to deliver technical solutions aligned to their goals

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
  • 7+ years’ experience in mineral processing, with a focus on gold
  • Prior EPC/EPCM or consulting background preferred
  • Site-based or operational plant experience highly valued
  • Able to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
  • Strong communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach to engineering delivery
