Job Title: Industrial Spray Painter / Sand Blaster
Mills Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a leading trailer manufacturing company based in Western Australia. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Industrial Spray Painter / Sand Blaster to join a high-performing workshop team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in industrial or automotive spray painting who’s looking for a long-term role in a well-established business.
About the Role:
As a key member of the workshop team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality paint finishes on large road transport equipment. We’re specifically seeking candidates with industrial or automotive spray painting experience, who are confident working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out industrial spray painting and sandblasting on trailers and transport equipment.
- Surface preparation – sanding, masking, and priming.
- Applying primers and top coats using spray guns and related tools.
- Ensuring all work meets quality assurance and finish standards.
- Routine maintenance and cleaning of spray painting equipment.
- Following all site safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
What You’ll Need:
- Industrial or automotive spray painting experience is essential.
- Certificate in Spray Painting (Australian-recognised trade qualification) – required.
- Valid Forklift Licence (LF) – required.
- Previous sandblasting experience is highly regarded.
- Ability to interpret instructions and work independently or in a team.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
Shift & Pay Rate:
- Night Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM | $53.85 per hour
- Penalties apply after 8 hours worked per day
