About You:
- 10+ years of relevant design experience in the resources sector.
- 5+ years in a senior or lead design role within multi-disciplined engineering projects.
- Highly organised, presentable, and trustworthy – delivers on expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team and stakeholder management skills.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design-drafting functional capability for the organisation.
- Maintain and develop design quality procedures, work instructions, and CAD systems.
- Drive Safety in Design, Lessons Learned, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Continuously enhance the capability and performance of the design/drafting team.
- Lead the development of intelligent 3D design tools and contribute to strategic planning.
- Support Lead Discipline Designers in project execution, resource management, and performance tracking.
- Forecast resource needs and assist with recruitment and onboarding.
- Review and approve design and drafting estimates for projects.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategy development and forward workload planning.
